We’re halfway through our final term (if you can believe it!), and it’s time to celebrate you, our amazing Teachers! You’re not just Teachers; you’re the guiding lights for our Learners. We can’t thank you enough for your dedication and the difference you make in our children’s lives.
You provide hope in a world where young South Africans are finding their way. Inside your classrooms, you inspire curiosity and knowledge, teaching vital skills our Learners need to succeed – focusing on Education, Entrepreneurship, and Employment (that’s the DBE-E³ approach!).
Every day, you nurture an entrepreneurial spirit among your Learners. You teach them the power of discovery, taking risks, and problem-solving. You’re shaping the future innovators and leaders!
Creating this entrepreneurial mindset requires a supportive environment where Learners can explore, make mistakes, and learn from them. This environment captures the S.P.E.C.I.A.L. elements: Social Interaction, Purpose, Enjoyment, Curiosity, Iteration, Active Engagement, and Learner Agency. We encourage you to explore project-based learning, an exciting approach that can transform your classroom. If you’re interested, you can find more information on our ‘Introduction to Project-Based Learning’ course here.
As we celebrate this month, remember that you are the unsung heroes! You’re making a huge difference, shaping a brighter future for South Africa. We applaud you for your incredible impact as you shape the destiny of our country, one child at a time!
All the work streams in the DBE-E³ team have been active over the past month and we are
very pleased to share our progress with you.
